Richard William Leckie
Richard William Leckie is a lecturer in modern Japanese literature at Kyoto Sangyo University, Osaka University and Kansai University of International Studies (Kobe). He received his Ph.D. from Osaka University in spring 2023. His research focuses mainly on the relation between proletarian and popular literature in prewar Japan, focusing on works by Hayama Yoshiki, Maedakō Hiroichirō, Murayama Tomoyoshi, Iwatō Yukio and other writers affiliated with Bungei Sensen (Literary Front) magazine.
