Marshall Sahlins
Marshall Sahlins is the Charles F. Grey Distinguished Service Professor of Anthropology Emeritus, University of Chicago. A specialist on Polynesian cultures, he is known also for his cross-cultural and historical studies. He is the author of a number of books, including Stone Age Economics, Culture and Practical Reason, Islands of History, The Western Illusion of Human Nature, and What kinship Is–And Is Not.
