Ellen Sebring
Ellen Sebring has been Creative Director of Visualizing Cultures at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since the project’s founding in 2002. She earned a Master of Science in Visual Studies degree at MIT and was a Fellow at MIT’s Center for Advanced Visual Studies for six years. Sebring is pursuing the PhD at the Centre for Advanced Inquiry in the Interactive Arts (CAiiA), under the direction of Roy Ascott, at Plymouth University in the UK. From 1995-2002, she was President of Botticelli Interactive, Inc., a company that produced interactive documentary, television, and museum designs with an emphasis on non-linear stories and content. She is a video artist and filmmaker who explores image-sound composition and deconstructed, non-verbal narrative.
