Jung-Sil Lee
Dr. Jung-Sil Lee is a Professorial Lecturer at George Washington University, where she teaches Global Modern and Contemporary Art. Her academic interests include feminism, Asian art, postcolonial theory, diaspora studies, and the healing function of public sculpture. She is the author of Modern and Contemporary Korean Art in Context (Bloomsbury, 2025). As an independent curator, she has organized exhibitions internationally. In 2025, she is curating a major Korean diaspora exhibition at American University Museum, as well as a three-venue exhibition titled Écriture with Body at the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design, International Arts & Artists at Hillyer, and the Korean Cultural Center in Washington, D.C.
