Harumi Osaki
Harumi Osaki received her PhD in East Asian Studies from McGill University in 2016. She is currently a part-time lecturer at Chukyo University and Nagoya University, Japan. Her main area of research is Japanese philosophy. Among her works are Nothingness in the Heart of Empire: The Moral and Political Philosophy of the Kyoto School (2019), “A Comparison of Watsuji’s Fūdo and Deleuze and Guattari’s A Thousand Plateaus: Questioning an Equivalence between Japaneseness and Postmodernity” (2023), and “Repetition of the Different as Art of Adaptation: On the Animated Adaptation of Dazai Osamu’s ‘Run! Melos’ in the Blue Literature Series” (2021).
