Dr. Elena Baibikov is Associate Professor in Kobe City University of Foreign Studies, Japan. Her scholarly publications include several book chapters and a dozen scholarly articles, focused on cross-cultural issues, translation-related topics and comparative children’s literature. Dr. Baibikov is also active as a translator of Hebrew and Japanese literature into Russian. She has published several dozen literary translations and served as a compiling editor for two anthologies of contemporary Japanese literature in Russian: A World in a Raindrop (2012) and Japanese short fiction of 2010's (2017).
