Stephen Wade
Stephen Wade is a sports writer and correspondent for the news agency Associated Press. He has covered about a dozen Olympics and soccer World Cups dating from the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Wade has been posted in seven countries with AP, often writing about the intersection of sports and politics. He was in Beijing for 2 ½ years as China readied the 2008 Olympics, followed by 4 ½ years in Rio de Janeiro to cover the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics. He’s now based in Japan for this year’s Tokyo Olympics, and the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. I have a BA and MA in political science from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.[email protected]
