Stevan Harrell
Stevan Harrell retired in 2017 after 43 years teaching anthropology, China Studies, and Environmental Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle. His field research has been in northern Taiwan and in the Liangshan region of Sichuan. He is finishing a book manuscript tentatively entitled Intensification and its Discontents: An Ecological History of the People’s Republic of China. He lives in Bellingham, Washington.
