Matthew Galway
Matthew Galway is a Senior Lecturer of Chinese History at the Australian National University and the author of The Emergence of Global Maoism: China’s Red Evangelism and the Cambodian Communist Movement, 1949–1979 (Cornell University Press, 2022). His research focuses on the globalization of Maoism, intellectual history, Chinese intelligence operations abroad, and radical overseas Chinese networks. His second book, the edited volume Experiments with Marxism-Leninism in Cold War Southeast Asia, has recently been published open access by ANU Press.
