Shuk-ting Kinnia YAU
Shuk-ting Kinnia Yau received her Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2003. She is now Associate Professor in the Department of Japanese Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on transnational Asian film studies and depictions of WWII in Asian and American visual media. Her publications include “From March of the Volunteers to Amazing Grace: The Death of the Main Melody Movie in the 21st Century,” (Jump Cut: A Review of Contemporary Media, 2019), and Japanese and Hong Kong Film Industries: Understanding the Origins of East Asian Film Networks (Routledge, 2010).
