Etsuko Toyoda
Etsuko Toyoda is a senior lecturer in the Japanese Studies Program, Asia Institute, the University of Melbourne. She holds a PhD in Psycholinguistics/Applied Linguistics from the University of Melbourne and a MA in Japanese Studies from Tsukuba University (Japan). Etsuko teaches Japanese language and culture from beginner to advanced levels, focusing on intercultural understanding. Her research interest lies in the exploration of intercultural understanding and metacognition, related to linguistic and cultural content at personal, local and global levels. In recent years, she has published fūfubessei-related articles.
