Lorrie Goldensohn published American War Poetry: An Anthology (Columbia University Press, New York: 2006), which contains a substantial selection of Vietnam War poetry, as well as Dismantling Glory: 20th Century American and English Soldier Poetry (Columbia University Press, New York: 2003), which contains a lengthy chapter on the same subject. Goldensohn’s “Dying in American War Poetry” appeared in the Yale Review (2:1) April 2012. She taught war literature and film for many years at Vassar College, from which she retired in 2000. In October 2018, she will lecture on the pacifism of Wilfred Owen and the American Vietnam War poets at Wolfsohn College, Oxford University, at a conference entitled Wilfred Owen and Beyond.
