Yang Ching Ja
Yang Ching Ja is a translator and interpreter as well as a lecturer at colleges including Hitotsubashi University. Yang has been actively engaged in the issue of Japan’s military “comfort women” since 1990 and among other projects produced a documentary film on the subject called Ore no kokoro wa maketenai (My heart will never be defeated). She is currently co-director of Japan Nationwide Network for Resolution of Japan’s Military “Comfort Women” Issue and Yoisshon [Action together for the Yoshimi Yoshiaki lawsuit]. She co-authored numerous books including Chosen gakko tte donnatoko? [What kind of place is a Korean school in Japan?]. Her translations include Yoon Mi-hyang Nijuunenkan no suiyobi [Wednesdays for twenty years].
